VOTAGOO® Duty Handcuff Pouch

I work with security on occasion and keep this with my vest in case I need to assist. It’s much easier to use my own cuffs rather than having someone pass me theirs while also restraining a rowdy person. The pouch is well-made, lightweight, and attaches securely to my vest. The quick-access design makes it easy to grab the cuffs when needed.

Definitely a nice pouch for my belt. Handcuffs fit well inside of them and the velcro closure is secure and they stay in well enough. The extra loop side of the velcro is also on the face of the pouch and I put my vinyl blood type patch on there and gives me a little more purchase on the flap to open it up and grab the cuffs. I took one star off because I am not sure about then Molle closure. This has the hard tabs you tuck back in and not buttons, so we will soon see.

I was actually looking for a pouch to hold one of my radios, and this works perfectly. The material is sturdy and tear resistant. The Velcro is strong, and feels reliable. Fits well on my edc belt and feels to be reliable for years to come!

In the barest of perspectives, it's well made, light weight and functional. As we go through a career in public sector work, I've come to realize that one is often better off for every ounce saved on the duty belt. While I am of an older generation that is more accustomed to and indeed has a preference for the aesthetics of traditional leather duty gear, I think I'd prefer to save that for days when I know I have to look sharp, not the daily grind.The size on mine is only mildly loose, for common S&W chain cuffs. I really don't mind the minimal amount of play when accessing cuffs under less than ideal conditions. The velcro flap does fine for retaining them. For now...Eventually, the velcro will fuzz up, wear out, etc., therefore I do consider this to be a consumable item. I also don't like that this will have a tendency to retain biohazardous fluids more than kydex or leather. Regardless, for the price, it's a decent deal and worth replacing a few years into the future. If not preferred for daily use, it may still have a place on an extra duty belt, for private security folks that can't afford premium gear, or general duty where appearance can slide a bit. In summary, it's not pretty,, but it works and meets all reasonable expectations.

I've always got a random pair of handcuffs laying around. I've been wanting to get a case for them for quite a while but just hadn't ever done it until now. I'm definitely never needing to carry handcuffs around, but I just find this a more neat way to store them then loosely sitting in a drawer. If I were carrying them around I feel like this pouch would be great as well. It's a pretty solid build quality. It definitely feels like you could carry this everyday and it would last you quite a while. I'd say it's hard to beat it for the price.
